Dear Parents, Guardians, and Community Members

I am super excited to serve as the principal of Grove Park Elementary School, home of the Gators! Grove Park Elementary has a reputation of being a caring, supportive and welcoming environment and we continue to strive to become the best. I am extremely proud of our devoted staff and energetic learners. It is with great excitement that we get ready to embark upon a new school year with anticipation of new opportunities that will enhance our instructional program and school community as a whole.

Grove Park Elementary is a diverse school with approximately 495 students in kindergarten through sixth grades. Our campus fosters a small neighborhood feel as students, staff, parents and the surrounding community work together to ensure that our children reach their highest potential. It is our responsibility to offer your children the best possible education in a positive and safe environment so that they can become academically, socially, emotionally and physically successful.

Our staff focuses on student learning and provides multiple opportunities for our students to increase their academic performance through high expectations, innovative programs, evidenced-based interventions and effective teaching. Each year it becomes more and more evident that it truly does “take a village to raise a child” and with that in mind, we welcome you to be an active participant at our school. Increasing parental involvement at Grove Park Elementary is a high priority and I look forward to working with each of you.

I am honored to be a part of this wonderful school, the community and district. Thank you for being a part of our community and school. Let’s show our Gator pride and make this an AWESOME and SUCCESSFUL year together!

Go GATORS!!

Sincerely,

Melissa Wright

Assistant Principal, Jackie Lawson

Hello Grove Park Gators, Families and Community Members-

I am so excited to be a part of Grove Park Elementary and its community. We are inspired to create a learning environment of high expectations and strong academic achievement. Grove Park has such a strong support system within the community, an amazing staff and students who continue to make us smile daily. From the first day I stepped onto campus, I knew that I was involved in something special and surrounded by such an inspirational staff. It truly is an amazing place to be and I am excited to see what our continued efforts will show. Grove Park Gators are going to shine and shine bright!

Our school is full of talented staff and valuable resources. We are here to support learning that transcends the boundaries of the school walls and pours into our community. Housed at Grove Park is our Project R.E.A.C.H. Program, a clothes closet created by our wonderful Mrs. McConnell and dedicated staff to assist with your needs to help your students achieve their maximum potential. Education should take a “whole child” approach and we are here and happy to support them in their learning journey.

I feel privileged to be part of such an amazing school and I can’t wait for an amazing school year.

Let your Gator Pride shine bright!

Sincerely-

Jackie Lawson
